Vinařství Ludwig was founded in 1992 by Ludvík Šlancar whose family has more than 100 years of winemaking experience. The winery produces more than 10 product lines, truly something for everyone, including specialty “late harvest” and “selection of grapes” bottles. Ludwig wines have won multiple Platinum, Double Gold, Gold, Silver and Bronze at global competitions including San Francisco, Finger Lakes, Vienna, and Prague. The winery is located in the sub-region Velke Pavlovice | Moravia.

This wine is 100% André grape, a unique Czech variety that represents about 3.5% of all vineyard plantings. It is a cross between Frankovka (Blaufränkish) and St. Laurent. It’s known for its garnet red colour and soft tannings.
