About the Wine
Grüner Veltliner Weinviertel Poysdorf is Taubenschuss’s entry level Gruner Veltliner and is a quality, well-priced gastronomy wine. This wine has a classic light green-yellow colour and is fruity, spicy, and clean with a slight white pepper finish. It’s best served cold between 9-11 C.

Food Pairings
Gruner is often known as a chameleon wine because it goes so well with so many foods. Enjoy this wine with fish and seafood (both grilled and pan-fried), veal, roast chicken, roast pork, pasta, light salads, and grilled vegetables.

About the Winery
Taubenschuss Winery was founded in 1670 by the Taubenschuss family who continue to own and operate it to this day. It is located in Poysdorf, Austria in the Niederösterreich wine region, about 15 minutes from the Czech border. They are known for their near-natural approach to viticulture, using only compost and natural herb-based “teas” to fertilize the soil and control pests and mildew. The winery and will receive their official organic certification in 2024.
